Visit the Adler Planetarium

If you want to inspire, motivate, and educate your children, we would suggest you to take your children to the Adler Planetarium. Established in the year, 1930, the Adler Planetarium in Chicago is often identified as the first planetarium of the United States. This particular planetarium features three full-sized theaters that regularly showcase breath-taking sky shows. In addition to that, the planetarium also boasts of extensive space science exhibitions, offers special presentations, educational programs and presentations etc.

Shedd Aquarium

Here’s an interesting fact for you! Opened to the public in the year 1930, the Shedd Aquarium is popularly recognized as the first inland aquarium with a permanent saltwater fish collection. Fast forward to the present, the place is now home to over 1500 species of marine and land creatures. When there, you shouldn’t miss out on the season stingray exhibit and the aquatic show with dolphins, sea otters, and whales. The Shedd Aquarium also has a state-of-the-art 4-D theater that features futuristic, interactive elements that make the movie-watching experience a memorable one.

Visit the Navy Pier

It would be foolish of you to not visit the Navy Pier with your young ones while in Chicago. There are plenty of things you can do in the leisure destination of Navy Pier. For a start, you can take a ride on the iconic Ferris Wheel. The 150-foot high wheel offers unparalleled views of Lake Michigan and the impressive Chicago skyline. Visit The Lincoln Park Zoo

You shouldn’t be too distressed if you don’t have too much money to spare. Who says that you need money to show your kids a good time? The Lincoln Park Zoo costs nothing to enter. Why should you take your kids there? Well, the zoo covers an area of over 35 acres and caters to the needs of over 200 animal species. Like in any other renowned zoos, you can catch all the major attractions in the Lincoln Park Zoo including sea animals, primates, reptiles, big cats, and birds. Visit The Field Museum

 

The Field Museum is easily one of the largest natural history museums in the world. The museum maintains an impressive collection of over 24 million specimens and objects. While there, you can expect to see gems, fossils, cultural artifacts, meteorites, and rich anthropological assemblages from around the world.
